Schumer’s Supreme Court saga not over, as GOP presses forward on historic censure

FOX: Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., may still face consequences from his colleagues after facing criticism from conservatives and liberals alike for remarks he directed towards Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh at an abortion rights rally last week that some have considered threatening.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has continued to call for Schumer to be censured after introducing a resolution in the Senate to do just that. And dozens of well-known conservative leaders signed a letter Monday adding their voices to the calls.

“Of course Schumer’s attacks were ‘inappropriate’ and ‘wrong’! He should be CENSURED,” Hawley tweeted Friday, in response to a video of CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who stated that Schumer’s remarks sounded “like a physical threat.”

  1. I’m afraid all these stories about how liberals are also speaking out against Amy’s Uncle Chuckie reminds me of all those stories about how there was “bipartisan” opposition to President Trump and then the stories quote John McCain and Mitt Romney. Until there are more than one or two liberals doing it then I am not interested.

  2. A censure? So what? I bet Chuck would carry it around like a badge of honor. The only thing worthwhile would be for two thirds of Senators to band together to expel him and that’s not going to happen.

  3. While I’d LOVE to see Chuck U get his comeuppance, I doubt anything much will happen. He might not know where all of the bodies are buried, but he knows where a heck of a lot of them are. I am sure he’d be willing to rat some people out to protect himself.

  4. There has already been one nutcase that drove to D.C. to shoot up Republicans.
Here Schumer is inviting more carnage.
