Sean Connery dead at age 90

… Connery was an audience favorite for more than 40 years and one of the screen’s most reliable and distinctive leading men. Once pigeonholed as Ian Fleming’s sexy Agent 007, he went on to distinguish himself with a long and mature career in such films as “The Wind and the Lion,” “The Man Who Would Be King” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” More at Variety

  1. Tonight I’ll watch Highlander (the movie) and have some Scotch.

Unsure about Red October because of “smart alec Baldwin”.
Who knows, maybe I can picture Trump as Baldwin?

    Connery really pissed off feminists!

  2. RIP Sean Connery; you were the first and best James Bond. My first (5 YOA) grown-ups’ movie at the drive-in with my folks and little brother, “Goldfinger.”

Yeah, I know, but Roger Moore is “The Saint,” Connery is Bond.

    ‘“Oh Pussy.”

I bet he’s having Champagne with Honor Blackman as we speak.’

…she offered her Honor, he Honored her offer, so it was Honor and off her all night”.

RIP guy who would have made Star Trek 5 WAY better, Godspeed, guess you went to meet God after all…

“– Pretty much everyone on the planet knows this, but first choice to play Sybok was… Sean Connery. The reference to Sha Ka Ree is a tip of the cap to the actor.”

  4. Sean Connery made “The Man Who Would Be King” one of the greatest adventure films ever produced. He was also terrific in: “The Wind And The Lion”, “The Molly Maguires”, “Medicine Man”, and “Finding Forrester”, but he’s always going to be best remembered as the very best Bond, James Bond.

    God speed, Sean Connery.

  5. We all have to go sometime but man-o-man did Sean Connery cut a wild swath or what? He’s left behind dozens of real gems for generations to enjoy.

From “you’ve had your 6” in Dr No to popping wood behind an x-ray screen in Zardoz, he’s a man’s man.

I’d have to say my fav was The Man Who Would Be King, for both Caine and Connery-just a wonderful movie.

If someone used his bio as a screenplay outline, no one would believe it.

    God speed Dude.

“I also forgot the sci fi space Western Outland…”

My favorite line in Outland is one our President could say of his AGs and FBIs as well…

    “Rudd:
You’re supposed to protect us. You’re the police. It’s your job. Where are your men?

    Marshal William T.O’Neil (CONNERY):
My men? My men are shit.”

RIP ‘MR. Bond’, THEE best 007..

I actually enjoyed him most in The Untouchables and Highlander, a role MADE for him.

  8. Sad. RIP

If you’re feeling nostalgic and want to watch Bond movies, Pluto has a channel that is all Bond movies all the time.
    Dr. No is playing now.
The first Sean Connery Bond movie.

  9. Remember the Untouchables: “When they send one of yours to the hospital you send one of theirs to the morgue.”

Then some pip squeak punk copied the line: “When they go low we kick them”
