Sessions To Testify About Comey Before Senate Intelligence Committee

DC: Attorney General Jeff Sessions will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday about recent claims made by former FBI Director James Comey, he said Saturday.

Sessions, who recused himself from the Russia probe in March, had been scheduled to testify before the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittees next week. But in letters to the chairmen of those panels, Sessions says he has instead accepted an invitation to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“In light of reports regarding Mr. Comey’s recent testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, it is important that I have an opportunity to address these matters in the appropriate forum,” Sessions told Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby and Texas Rep. John Culberson.

8 Comments on Sessions To Testify About Comey Before Senate Intelligence Committee

  1. “Senate intelligence Committee” The first two words of this committee are either oxymoronic or extreme sarcasm. Central casting could not have dreamed up such an aggregation of buffoons.

  2. Would Sessions be able to do this Comey rebuttal if he hadn’t recused himself? Maybe, but I don’t think so. Everybody who bought last week’s narrative that PDT was pissed at Sessions for recusing may want to recalibrate.

  3. Thanks Mr. Anth Ropy Keven Jackson is a good guy who should have a hell of a lot more time on air. He’s sharp and provides a tremendous role model to boot.

  4. Good link there, Annie Girl. Do we know for sure that Sessions tossed Comey’s office? The way they’re on TV painting Sessions as Satan the Klansman makes me think Sessions got the goods on Comey.
