SGT. SEAN COLLINS’ FAMILY REQUESTED CALL FROM OBAMA, BUT HE WAS TOO BUSY

Pacific Pundit: Ok, it’s pathetic enough that the Fredicka Wilson and the left wing media is using the death of Sgt. La David T. Johnson in Niger to try and make political points and bash Trump. The whole controversy allegedly is that Trump told the widow of Sgt. La David T. Johnson that “he knew what he signed up” for when he joined the military. That of course was only a part of the context of Trump’s entire phone call which has been left out of the media and Fredicka Wilson.

But let’s take a look at Obama and what he did when Americans were killed. In 2011 Sgt. Sean Collins, the family (based in Washington state) had requested a condolence call from Hussein Obama. They were told that Obama was simply too busy to bother with calling the family of Sgt. Sean Collins.  read more

  1. If I have to ask for a condolence call (read shame them into it), regardless of who it is, it will not be worth it. Is there evidence that Panetta signed letters and not obutthole? If that is true that is pathetic. Calling the fallen should be priority one every day for POTUS, regardless of who it is. Then again respecting our military hasn’t been in vogue for eight years. After throwing around these allegations I am sure DJT will contact them all.

  2. Although the proper sentiment was there I would think a personal letter to those fallen would be better received. It would also be something that could be kept as a reminder, and can’t be distorted by these evil scum.

  3. POTUS Trump has such a deep regard for our service members, it seems like a very natural act for him to want to call the families of fallen members. If you haven’t yet watched Chief-of-Staff Kelly’s explanation of the protocol, he does an excellent job of wending through the process. He also said something very important about calls — that the most important ones are from the deceased’s “buddies”, the people who knew him or her best. And when you stop to think about that, it makes complete sense. All any president can do is add their personal thanks of a grateful nation and to say that their loved one’s life mattered to this country.

Has anyone here seen the film “Taking Chance”?

  4. Condolence Letter From Senator Screws Up Name of Fallen Soldier

In a separate instance, Patrick Collins called the White House to ask President Obama to call his ex-wife, Linda, to talk about their son. Instead, Collins said the White House told him that the president did not regularly make phone calls to the families of fallen soldiers. The slight came, Collins says, when he later learned that President Obama had phoned the Philadelphia Eagles with praise for owner Jeffery Lurie for giving Michael Vick a “second chance.”

“That burns,” Collins said. “Any soldier that gets killed in action, you’d think the president would be calling someone in the family.”

  5. We received the typical condolence letter from the govt. after my father, a veteran, passed away. It had Bam-Bam’s rubber stamped signature at the bottom. I burned it.
AA, yes, saw that movie. Cried through most of it.
