SHOCK: Zero students at six Baltimore schools test proficient in English or math

EAG:

BALTIMORE, Md. – Baltimore schools are failing students on serious scale, and it’s not for lack of spending on high-priced administrators and other school employees.

Not a single student in five of the city’s high schools and one middle school tested up to state standards in English and math, an astonishingly embarrassing statistic that’s infuriating some parents, Fox Baltimore reports.

“That’s absurd to me,” Janel Nelson, mother of Frederick Douglass High School senior Navon Warren, told the news station. “That’s your teacher’s report card, ultimately.”

Based on Warren’s analogy, teachers at five schools received a zero on the latest round of standardized testing: Booker T. Washington Middle School, Douglass High School, Achievement Academy at Harbor City, New Era Academy, Excel Academy at Francis M. Wood High School, and New Hope Academy.

According a Fox Baltimore investigation:

High school students are tested by the state in math and English. Their scores place them in one of five categories – a four or five is considered proficient and one through three are not. At Frederick Douglass, 185 students took the state math test last year and 89 percent fell into the lowest level. Just one student approached expectations and scored a three.

  1. You would think that drug dealers and whores would at least need to be able to count out change. Good thing combo meals have pictures and a simple number.

  2. How many UNION Baltimore Teachers at these schools could pass the standardized tests?

School principle salaries range usually between $91,605-$116,669 not including bonus and benefit information

High School Teacher Baltimore, MD average salary is $72,289.

  3. This is a national disgrace and embarrassment. Each one of these kids has potential that’s being wasted – whether by their own choice, the failed school system, larger political motives to destroy the black family. Guess LBJ was right about getting them to vote Democrap. Very, very sad.

  4. As a parent, you should know if your child ain’t readin’ and cyphern’ by the 3rd or 4th grade. High School? Everybody blamin’ everybody to git mo money.

  5. REASONS:

    1. They are inter-bred, and therefore, mentally challenged.

    2. They have welfare and EBT waiting for them, so why study?

    3. None of those students could pass a test on how to sit down in a chair and be quiet.

  6. When I taught school before all this mess started, the teachers were excellent, could speak correctly, knew the subjects they taught, and had the backing of the parents.

However, there are always the students who just won’t learn, don’t care to even try, and no amount of money, equipment, or new schools will change that.

It’s really up to the student.

I saw a photo of an old school building that was no longer used. An accompanying photo showed their library — a room whose walls were lined with now empty shelves.

This was where my father went to school and studied. No internet or computers, just books and a desire to learn. He and his classmates became our Greatest Generation.

If these kids of today haven’t learned, they are of low intelligence or they are too lazy to apply themselves.

  7. The People Republic of Illinois has a whopping success rate of around 33% on the tests, meaning meeting minimum standards-not proficiency. All the academics are so very happy at this result, our local school district justifies itself because it’s reaching the state average. Doesn’t this prove that the actual idea of public education isn’t actually about education? It’s about keeping a majority of the masses dumb enough to vote the way they tell them.

  8. How ever, thumb typing ebonics and video streaming of drive by’s, car jackings, and sucker punching white people scored well above the national median.

In athletics, fleeing the poleece, scaling chain link fencing and bum rush purse snatching scores are neck and neck with Detroit and DC school districts.

  9. Just to remind everyone: In Baltimore, taxpayers are currently spending $16,578 per year for each pupil in the city’s public schools. Not only is this 48% more than the national average of $10,608, but it’s more than any other country on the face of the earth spends on public education.

  10. As an Independent Contractor, if the product I produce does not pass muster, I don’t get paid until it does.
I propose teaching these teachers some arithmetic:
First give the test to all the teachers, those who do not pass are fired immediately.
    The remainder:
Give them one year to teach their way out of this hole.
At the end of the year if 100% do not pass, 100% of those teachers are fired.
I would grant every officer exiting from Military service with a teaching certificate and give those teaching openings to former officers and issue each officer a whip and a chair and a mandate to ‘shape them up’
