One of the most damaging moments from the first round of Democrat debates was when the moderators asked for a show of hands on a few positions.
Like the “Show of hands: Will your healthcare plan cover illegal aliens?”
Or “Show of hands: Will your Medicare for All plan abolish private health insurance?”
For voters, the show of hands questions were extremely enlightening (operative word here: extreme). It allowed voters to see, in one fell swoop, just where these candidates stood on some pretty unpopular issues.
And, see. That right there is the problem.

My youngest son was dumbfounded when I told him about those hand raising episodes. He has always been a bit liberal but now that he is growing up and making decent money and working his tail off, he is sick of seeing the deadbeats out there just getting by and waiting for Santa Claus to show up. He’s had a few weeks of having a $900.00 tax bite (lots of overtime) and that has really opened his eyes. Now if I only had more influence over him than his girlfriend has and I’ll be making progress.
