Shutdown to Slim Down 95 Percent of USDA Office Overseeing Food Stamps

Breitbart: The government office overseeing the nation’s food stamp program will slim down 95 percent of its operations by the fifth day of the government shutdown, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) documents outlining shutdown contingency plans.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said in a statement on Friday before the holiday weekend that despite the shutdown, “critical services” such as law enforcement, services protecting life or property, or services that are already covered with available funding will continue.

“There may be a lapse in funding for the federal government, but that will not relieve USDA of its responsibilities for safeguarding life and property through the critical services we provide,” Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said in a statement.  MORE HERE

After January any manufacturer that has a cage code and does work for the Military supplying replacement parts will be out of business. How easy, or long, do you think it will take to rebuild those resources and what impact do you think it’s going to have on our military s readiness?

  2. You would think there would be a mechanism in place to ensure the continued supply and readiness for our military. You know all the deadbeat government employees will be made whole as far as their over inflated paychecks go. These shutdowns need to be reorganized.

There are “Legacy” airframe parts for just about every plane we have flying right now that suppliers have had to re engineer, dimensions, material, and outside process. That takes a lot of time. Not to mention a lengthy Government approval process. We have several for A-10’s, B-52’s etc. There’s a much larger manufacture than us in our business park that has about a bazillion of these source approved parts. They have approx 250 employees. Managements getting worried.

They always inflate ‘King Crab’ and forget the ‘imitation’ word in the description.
    I’m agreeing with you!
‘Imitation King Crab’ thought of it makes me yak,
and tenderloin beef used to be used in Dinty Moore beef stew. Since the G’ment decided trans fat we should not eat, it’s been reduced to yuk.

  5. The problem with parasites is that their populations explode as long as they have a rich source of food.
Just as at zoos there are plentiful warning signs not to feed the animals.
