PM: Olympic gymnast Simone Biles apologized on Tuesday after she criticized former University of Kentucky swimmer and women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines over the weekend for speaking out against a Minnesota high school softball team, which included a trans-identified male player, that won the state championships.
“I wanted to follow up from my last tweets,” Biles wrote on Tuesday afternoon. “I’ve always believed competitive equity & inclusivity are both essential in sport. The current system doesn’t adequately balance these important principles, which often leads to frustration and heated exchanges, and it didn’t help for me to get personal with Riley, which I apologize for.” more
She only apologized because of the backlash against her. She didn’t think any of this through. If she had, she’d have known she’d get piled on for tweeting from the cheap seats — it’s easy virtue to act the trans champion AFTER you’ve already gained your awards before you had to compete against men. And second, she compared Gaines’ body to that of a man. Curious, isn’t it? So, Simone, are you saying that men ARE bigger/stronger than women?
Having great physical skills does not mean that one has mental skills.
Biles apologizes as only a woke stooge can. Doubling down on the leftist narrative and pretending to be remorseful about an unwarranted personal attack during a debate.
In a 2017 tweet she knew biological females athletes would lose competing against biological male athletes, yet in 2025 she gives male athletes pretending to be female a pass. Being a hypocrite is a full time job for leftists like her.
I’d take it. Apologizing is hard and is usually motivated by shame or fear. Apologizing publically would be really embarrassing so I give her credit. I don’t think she has to apologize for or change her silly opinions, just the way she expressed them. It’s about manners, not political beliefs. And it’s more than Jake Tapper or a long list of other woke eejits have done about the stupid things they have tweeted or said.

She was wrong, she apologized. That’s about the best she can do but it would have been very easy not to be wrong in the first place.

How many times have I posted that pseudo apologies from progressive/Marxist/Satanists are the inverse of an apology. In the first place they have absolutely no capacity whatsoever for sincerity and have absolutely no intention whatsoever of not repeating the behavior that they are supposedly apologizing for. In the second place they think they are being cute, smart and clever and setting up their next assault. In the third place when you accept this bullshit you are complicit in enabling and encouraging the behavior that they are supposedly apologizing for.
