Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) and his family awoke to the sound of police banging on their door as they responded to the fire at the mansion in Harrisburg.

The mansion was set on fire early Sunday while he and his family were inside, he said, an incident that state police are investigating as arson. more

    It would be incredibly ignorant to NOT investigate it as an arson.

  7. Governor Mansions being guarded. I can remember dropping off the janitor at another state’s mansion, and there were always state troopers on duty there.
    Would be surprised if there wasn’t anything similar here as well. Were the security cameras on the blink as well?

    …but if dude broke in, why is FD using a Halligan to gain access to the SAME room through what appears to be the ONLY accessible doors well AFTER the initial break in?

    …granted dude could have gone in a window, but for him to have time to jump a fence, outrun State Troopers, break a window, climb over a high sill without hurting himself all while carrying his “homemade incendiary device” and then deploy it in a way thst does THAT much damage and still exits successfully without immolating himself either without using the door or locking it behind him, well, lets just say the aged but trained Arson Investigator part of me needs a bit more info to make this even BEGIN to ring true…

    Anyone ELSE think its odd that, with a WORKING STRUCTURE FIRE at THE GOVERNOR’S RESIDENCE and a response by a paid, full-time FD, that forcible entry into a room filled with heavy black smoke is being made by ONE guy with a Hooligan tool and no one to back him up, while there is NO ONE on a nozzle near a room that could flash when he opens the door and a rush of air gets into that heavy pressurized smoke and that THE HOSE LINES ARE NOT EVEN CHARGED?

    …IDK, I havent kept up, but back in the day you would probably get drummed out for making a poitlessly risky entry like this when you already KNOW from LEO that the life hazard has been removed.

    IF you survived doing it, that is.

    …its possible the smoke is billowing out because its being forced by a hose crew already inside, but this should have also disrupted the thermal balance so smoke would come out lower too. Even if this guy is just a safety and not supposed to make entry unless the Interior crew gets in trouble, why is he positioning the tool, why is he alone, and why are the hose lines not charged?

    …it just looks weird and wrong to me based on MY exprrience with structure fires, is all Im saying…

    …boy HOWDY, they SURE want us to know that Shapiro is Jewish and was doing Jewish things in this very room not long before! They must have practiced saying “seder” and “passover”, and even found a little fire-damaged book about passover they could pose for the story!

    Despite the fact this may not have anything to DO with that.

  15. …this morning, DemGov was going on about how it was “an attack on the Commonwealth of PA”. Meanwhile, the radionis saying he was a Trump supporter who said some anti-Democrat things on social media, they are looking into his finances, and are looking for his “TRUE motive” as they go WAYYY out of their way to point out how very, very Jewish things in that room were hours before and how the Governor is more Jewish than Moses.

    …pretty sure we all know where THIS is going, whether it belongs there or not…

    But then, an attack on a sworn LEO is ALSO an attack on the State, and the governor didnt seem to mind THOSE as long as it was Democrat pets doing them…

  20. I think the suspect was exceedingly …uh, lucky, to happen upon the “Jew Room” and set it ablaze.

    Too, the governor and his family are under 24 hour protection by the state police or designated security force. How’d the guy get in undetected?
