Reminds me a little of Jim Croce, just more bluesy.

At the age of 52, totally unexpected, Jesus and I made an agreement at the Cornerstone of Faith and Hope.
He would be my Lord and Savior and I a Son of God.
23 years later, I’m better than I have ever been.
Tomorrow I’ll be better than today.
I try my best, but there are days my best isn’t good enough. I just try better the next day.
Thank You God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Gratitude and Praise, all Glory to God.

I went to a couple of his concerts in the early 70s. I have a lot of his music. He was screamingly funny and very entertaining.
He wrote “I Wish We’d All Been Ready”, which became a very big hit for him. One of my many favorites is “Moses in the Wilderness”. Another one is “Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music”.
Larry Norman. Yes I do great song thanks,
Think I’ve heard this before.
