Speaker Mike Johnson posts Jan. 6 footage online

VIDEOS ARE HERE [The site will not work with Safari browser]

JTN: House Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday announced that he planned to post nearly all of the Capitol Hill security footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot online for the public to view.

“When I ran for Speaker, I promised to make accessible to the American people the 44,000 hours of video from Capitol Hill security taken on January 6, 2021,” he said in a statement obtained by Punchbowl News’ Jake Sherman. “Truth and transparency are critical.”

“Today, we will begin immediately posting video on a public website and move as quickly as possible to add to the website nearly all of the footage, more than 40,000 hours. In the meantime, a public viewing room will ensure that every citizen can view every minute of the videos uncensored,” he continued. “This decision will provide millions of Americans, criminal defendants, public interest organizations, and the media an ability to see for themselves what happened that day, rather than having to rely upon the interpretation of a small group of government officials.” more here

  1. “We’re sorry, the preview didn’t load. Please refresh the page.”

That’s all I get with Firefox, Chrome, Brave, and Chromium. Safari apparently isn’t the only browser that doesn’t work, it seems they all don’t work. Tested with and without ad blocking and various DNS services.

  3. ECP – I use Brave and they are working fine. Maybe turn off your shields? If you are still having trouble, there are several on the Twitter account of Citizen Free Press. You can use Nitter if you don’t want to use Twitter.
