Standards – IOTW Report

Standards

The highest standards for men and women in the military. Changes are being made.
Hegseth has a quick explainer.

  1. I understand that this relates to the armed forces, but another requirement for standards is the judiciary. We must eliminate foreign born federal judges! I would go so far as eliminating all court judges. These foreign born bastards that are trying to turn us into a third world shithole must be eliminated!

  2. The standards will still be too low because woman are participating, especially in combat. Yes, I said it. Woman are not equal to men physically or psychologically. Besides, they would be fodder for the enemy and a distraction for male soldier who would sacrifice themselves “protecting” the weaker sex soldier. Get women soldiers out of combat ranks. Period. Also, no we’re not Israel. We have the numbers to exclude women from combat.

  3. The Russians also successfully utilized females in tank crews, &c., in WWII.

Females are, in general, weaker – the AVERAGE male can choke down the AVERAGE female in about 90 seconds – not a great starting point for hand-to-hand combat.

But, more fundamentally, the American Armed Forces has become a vastly grotesque welfare dump for women, perverts (Don’t Ask; Don’t Tell), ragheads, and others. If Mr. Hegseth can correct that in 4 years it’ll be nothing short of miraculous.

  4. CC: I’m pretty sure the sniper duty is one of the most physically demanding jobs in the military, and really that’s beside the point. Commanders need the flexibility to reassign duties on the fly.

    “I’m sorry sir, I can’t help unload munitions, I’m a sniper”

  5. The military occupational specialty is currently open to Marines with certain requirements that have a rank of E-3 or higher.

Marines must already be qualified in Marine Infantry or Marine RECON units.

Expert rifleman must demonstrate a correctable vision of 20/20 in both eyes.

You will also need to receive a Secret security clearance from the Department of Defense.

Infantry and RECON are “most” demanding physically, emotionally and psychologically.

To my understanding, No female has met the high standards required.

  6. I agree that women should not serve in on-the-ground, enemy-facing combat jobs. Leave those and the munitions hauling to the male grunts — who are all full of manly manliness. The living conditions of a ground action are not the place to find a husband.

But…women drone operators and other remote combat roles make perfect sense. Women are just as patriotic and eager to serve in our military as men, and shouldn’t be denigrated as “inferior” in this respect in any way whatsoever. Require whatever physical standards that are needed to fit the job, but don’t broad brush it to exclude women from serving in critical jobs we can do.

One of the finest examples of a woman assigned to a job she was destined to fill was Col. Allison Black, “The Angel of Death”. Her story of finding Taliban targets while serving as a navigator on an AC-130 gun ship are as dramatic as they are entertaining. After hearing her story, I think she stirred up the only real regret I’ve ever had about my own career choices while serving in the USAF. A truly fearless warrior.

I think I know a guy that served on that ship. He was our first DCMA QAR. He could tell hilarious stories about his women navigator for hours. She had a passion for killing them while they were using the latrine. Or on the way out. Or while they were squatting some where.

  8. Brad — I LOVE to hear her tell the stories of her very first sortie, going out to kill Taliban! She’d been in-country for about 12 hours before they sent her crew off to find them. She underscores how all the training the crew underwent stateside that kicked in and made their missions successful. In that first attack, she had convinced the enemy that the ship’s tracking laser was the source of the firepower. That, and because the friendly Afghani leader below could link up with the enemy radio frequency, the U.S./Afghani comrades taunted the enemy by saying that the Taliban were so hated by the U.S., they’d even send their (U.S.) women to fight them! I’m not doing her justice. She’s got lots of interviews on YT.

  9. BB — Well, I’m sure there are about 100 times more guys who served on her gun ship as the craft could carry. LOL! Anyone who even knew a friend of a friend was probably only on the ship in spirit. That’s okay. Legends and embellished lore of battle is what keeps our fighting spirit alive.

  10. To be clear, not “broad brushing” women as weaklings for everything in the military, just combat. Of course, women can serve in non-combat capacities. Women are not as effective in areas of combat that boil down to blood and guts, face to face, kill or be killed hand combat. Women loose under those circumstances. Women can be tough, focused and stubborn but they need a more intense, task oriented, detached psychological profile to do the kind of killing and destructive work needed during combat. Men excel in that.

Sure, women can shot drones all day, but it better be in a command center away from the combat zone. Otherwise, women soldiers would more than likely have to physically get in the fight and that compromises the battle. Male soldiers as I said would be compelled to secure the safety of the women soldiers, not because they are fellow soldiers, but because they’re women. Casualties would include the women soldiers without exception.

Maybe, a number of women soldiers unfortunately will have to be lost in combat before a wake up call about the high mortality rates among women soldiers in combat is taken seriously.

  11. AbigailAdams, not aiming my comment at you. I’m just tired of the, “women can do everything men can do” Feminist mantra. It gets frustrating. Men and women have unique attributes and characteristics that compliment each other. God mad man first and woman was made from man’s rib.
By design, women though awesome in their own right, women are under the leadership of men. A fact too many in society refuse to accept. Society is a hot mess because the proper roles of men and women are not followed. No, women are not second class they are equal under the law, but the caveat for their protection is men as leaders in society.

  12. 99th, friend, I know what you meant and I hope you didn’t think I was picking on your comment. I’m sorry if I gave that impression.

The leadership you’re describing of men in our society is based on Biblical ideals which, unfortunately, aren’t practiced in a Godless work setting, or in a home where the man is not adhering to Christian tenets for the treatment of wives and women.

I totally get what you’re saying, although the preamble would be: “In a perfect world…”

  13. It just makes good sense to funnel people into their best position based on their abilities, regardless of sex, but that doesn’t mean that gender trumps everything or even has ANYTHING to do with the selection. Utilize people’s best abilities and… Stay in your lane!

  14. Agreed, AbigailAdams. Yes, indeed a “perfect world”… I had to blow off steam. Our Western societies are putting everyone on the alter of progressism and it destroying families. Godless women who won’t stay home to have and nuture babies/children and Godless men neglecting their families and communities are the result. The world is headed to a catastrophe as God has ordained, still it’s hard to watch.
I’m calm now. Thanks for understanding. We’re good, sis. 🙂

  15. 99th – 🙂 Thanks! Blowing off steam is good for us. Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel.

    Blessings to you!

P.S. Have you been watching “The House of David”? Would love your thoughts!
