Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Darrell Issa (R-CA) reintroduced the Modern Firearm Safety Act to prohibit states like New York and California from enacting anti-Second Amendment laws disguised as gun safety.
The bill introduced Thursday, which Breitbart News learned exclusively, would prohibit states from enacting unconstitutional “handgun rosters” that prevent law-abiding citizens from accessing modern, safer handgun models and require firearm manufacturers to adopt costly and unnecessary features, making it nearly impossible to sell new handguns.
“I am proud to re-introduce the Modern Firearm Safety Act to end the unconstitutional gun-grabbing agenda thrust on law-abiding New York residents by Far Left Democrats like Kathy Hochul,” Stefanik, the House Republican Leadership Chairwoman, said in a statement. “This legislation would ban Albany Democrats from imposing illegal handgun roster requirements meant to deter gun ownership. I will always protect American citizens’ Second Amendment rights and provide a critical check to any entity attempting to encroach on their liberties.” more
Newsom has been crying over his draconian bill requiring background checks on all ammo purchases getting reversed and found unconstitutional.

You gotta hand it to the libs and their alacrity at thinking outside the box to further their agenda. Background checks on ammo? All red flag laws, gun restrictions for traffic violations, restraining orders, and even child support delinquency, their fight to abolish ALL gun rights and criminalize ALL gun owners is never-ending.
Is “shall not be infringed ” too subtle or too blatant?
Yes, it specifically means weapons of war. All of them.
But, y’all go ahead amd pass them laws and such. Like making murder illegal. That worked great, yes? Not a murder since then.
I am not a lawyer (thank god) but wouldn’t the principle of equal protection and disperate impact suggest that fascist states like New York, New Jersey, California and Massachusetts are violating the law when other Americans are able to own the weapons those states ban?
