Steve Scalise announces bid for House majority leader, pledges to ‘hold the Biden administration accountable’

FOX: House Minority Whip Steve Scalise announced his bid to become House majority leader in a letter to Republican colleagues on Wednesday.

The announcement comes one day after the midterm elections were held, and the balance of power in both the U.S. House and Senate have not been determined.

In the letter, Scalise pledges to advance a conservative agenda in the House of Representatives.

“With this bold, conservative agenda in mind, I am asking for your support to be the next House Majority Leader,” Scalise wrote. “The American people deserve a House of Representatives that can move the agenda that was promised to them on the campaign trail. As your Majority Leader, I will work relentlessly to usher our vision through the House and show the country how conservative ideas can solve the problems that families are facing.” MORE

  1. “My country’s fallen and it can’t get up!”

Short of lightning striking the iron Capitol dome and frying all those thieving fornicators, there is no hope left.

  2. “Scalise pledges to advance a conservative agenda in the House of Representatives.” WOW! now there is a novel idea. I wonder why nobody has thought of this before. Why I bet if he wins, he will rank right up there with the likes of Boehner, Ryan and McCarthy. It’s hard to be optimistic when your asshole is sore.

  3. Sorry to disagree, Brad.
Conservatives always lose. Because even when they put GOPes in position, those liars never accomplish anything.

I felt sorry for Scalise when he got shot; later, he made me regret that sympathy. Wonder if Issa, howdy Gowdy, Boehner, Ryan, W, Pence, Romney, Collins, Murkowsky even dead McCain, voted Dem when they pulled the curtain closed?

  4. “Sorry to disagree, Brad.”

You’re free to disagree all the fuck you want, but bottom line, you’re not going to get a Freshman or even Sophomore law maker appointed a leader ship position. And that’s my point.
