‘Stigma’ Prevented California Health Officials From Closing Bathhouses Amid Monkeypox Spread

Daily Signal:

San Francisco and California state health officials knew monkeypox was spreading through gay or bisexual men who went to bathhouses and international festivals but hesitated to create a “stigma” by communicating these details and closing such venues, according to emails obtained by The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project.

Much of the internal communication between and among San Francisco city officials in early June focused on messaging for bathhouses, as well as “sex clubs” catering to gay and bisexual men.

Flyers about monkeypox needed to be “community centered, specifically in the lgbt [LGBT] areas,” one such email said.

However, another email shared among government communications officials across California warned: “The implicit headline I’m afraid of is “Health officers say gay men will spread monkeypox at Pride weekend.”  more

  1. Gay at your own risk, apparently. Democrats are willing to tolerate risky life choices to death. They’ve demonstrated this again and again and the bodies just keep stacking up.

  2. When will they learn? Never apparently. The followers of progressivism are just just pawns in the games the leaders of the progressive movement play with other people’s lives.

They can claim good intentions all they want, but when the chips fall they always fall one way. This is not a swing and a miss, it is how the rigged game is played when there are no consequences to knowingly disregarding common sense and substituting feelings for science.

  3. “Unintended consequences” demand that the results don’t always skew one way. Whenever progressivism achieves critical mass and they are in control and able to implement their agenda the result is always and without exception increased human suffering, misery and death. Always, and without fail.

  4. Well, I don’t want to look it up, but I’m sure the 26th Amendment guarantees the right to buttfuck. If it doesn’t, it should and that’s good enough for the liberal members of our Supreme Court.

  5. Hesitate to create a stigma for pervs and degenerates.

But NO hesitation to create a stigma for those of us who wanted to go about our normal daily lives, eat at nice restaurants, go to the movies, have gatherings and parties, not wear a face diaper, and not have an untested poison injected into our bodies.
All over (as nunyo bidness said) a cold virus with a kick with a 99+% survival rate.

  6. I was banned from the comment section of my local online newspaper for merely pointing out that the data shows the monkeypox is spread by homosexual contact, and I used very benign language. So much for the facts in today’s newspapers.

  7. So if homosexuals who frequent bathhouses for sex with random strangers are the demographic being infected with monkey pox, I guess I just don’t care. I’m sure they all know the risk by now, and if they don’t care, why should I? But I don’t see why I should have to pay for their vaccines.

At least some of them are Bi and will go on to infect others.

  9. You have to understand .. If some notional person THINKS youre the type of person who would do something that could cause viral sores on your asshole, that’s worse than actually GETTING these sores on your asshole

But lets not start saying these folks have Narcissistic Personality Disorders. No, that would be stigmatizing

  10. BTW .. dont gays have to use that particular aperture about once a day to pass stools just like the rest of us?

I wonder if the presence of open itchy lesions causes serious painful problems about once a day. I mean, I certainly wouldnt rub shit on a viral lesion on my arm
