Strip Clubs, Sex Changes, Rental Aid: What One Lawmaker Found in Medicaid Spending Shocked Him

Daily Signal: Oregon state Rep. Dwayne Yunker began asking questions when he discovered the state was using tax dollars to bring developmentally disabled clients to a strip club this past summer. 

Yunker—a Republican lawmaker in a very blue state with a Democrat super majority in the legislature—has exposed this and other controversial Medicaid spending in the state that has little or nothing to do with medical or health issues.  more h/t JDHasty

  1. Strip clubs can have some occupational therapy value. One learns to handle physical money (although I find tucking my bills in a wallet easier than trying to put them into a G string). You learn budgeting: if I have $100 dollars, how many lap dances can I get and still order another cocktail? There is ample opportunity for comparative anatomy analysis, and the female reproductive system can be examined at your leisure at a fairly modest cost.

    All in all, there seems to be plenty of learning experiences at the strip club.
