Showtime was a good channel back in the early 80s. Not just movies but variety… John Byner’s show was good and lots of concert shows….I remember watching Joni Mitchell’s Shadows and Light in particular.
That’s the first time I’ve seen Super Dave, my grandson will be impressed.
When the kids were little and wanted to show us one of there stupid tricks ( jumping over a small pile of sticks, off a swing for the first time, etc ), I got them all to yell SUPER DAVE when they were doing it. None of them have a clue as to why.
Mike Walden and his spectacular pants! Have mercy on our eyes.
LOVE Super Dave. He’s also great on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Super Dave was “new television” when I was a kid. There was little of that back then it seemed, having only 2 “good channels.”
Remember when someone rattled a set of keys and the TV would change channels?
I love watching old videos because they capture what the world was like. I saw people having fun, no SJWs trying to tell us how crappy we are.
I bet if a couple of nuns show up to ride a roller coaster today, the park would be shut down and safe space emergency procedures would be in place.
Good Lord, let’s not let these precious snowflakes take away our fun!
Irony – – You’re right. I recognized the face and voice and just now realized it was him.
IIRC, didn’t Bob Einstein (Super Dave) get his start on the Smothers Brothers show?
Few people know Rex Cramer was Super Dave’s real father.
