A lot of us in Maine quit the state GOP over Collins.
They are loyal to a politician over the Constitution. It’s disgusting.
She demands that everyone booing be identified so that everyone in their villages can be rounded up and shot.
Also, fyi, she won’t hold town halls because she knows people will use it to confront her.
Her aides said so in different words.
Utah Republican Conventions can be pretty fun. The majority of delegates are anything but party hacks (nor do they tend to reflect the desires of the average Utah Republican voter, but that is another subject). I am encouraged that disgust for elected officials has risen above snide remarks.
I remember Orrin Hatch walking away from an “intervention” more than a few years ago. There is something satisfying about seeing someone accustomed to the privileges of power struck dumb with fear, fleeing the premises with a bewildered, ashen face. He made a very quick and very public pivot, later that day. Unfortunately, he didn’t fire the arrogant, tone deaf aides responsible for his momentary discomfort.
Bro. Mitt has plainly abused his position to pursue a personal vendetta, and support the donor class and deep state. For him to lecture delegates on decorum is an indication of both his bloated, entitled ego and his utter disdain for his constituents.

Collins is in the enviable political position of never having to worry about losing.
She is the reason the term “Rino” was created.
Her voting base consists of repubs that are scared of losing clout in DC, and bluedog dems who consider her “one of us”, which she is.
She’s no threat to Maine democrats, because they know that when the chips are down, she will vote with them.
Of course she was appalled. Politicians, and especially those like her that hold high office, are people that soar high above the unwashed masses. They deserve to be not just respected, but revered. They deserve to have buildings and roads named after them. How dare the little people not treat their superiors with the utmost of respect!
They all need to be term limited. She thinks her shit doesn’t stink and it’s a notion that’s been bred into her after too many years both feeding and enriching herself at the public trough.
