Swiss Parliament Votes to Prohibit Arabic Sermons and Foreign-Fund Mosques

Milo:

The Swiss National Council, the lower house of parliament in Switzerland, has voted to ban foreign-funded mosques as well as to require Muslim places of worship to use the one of the country’s official languages instead of Arabic.

Neue Zuercher Zeitung reports the vote passed by a narrow majority meaning, if the law passes the Senate, mosques will need to be transparent about their funding and declare their backers, as well as preach in either German, French, Italian, or Romansch.

According to the Federal Assembly’s website, 94 members of the parliament voted in favor of the ban on Tuesday with 89 voted against it.

  1. The Swiss show good sense. Everybody has to serve in the Army. At the end of service, they are allowed to keep their automatic weapons. The government pays them and provides the ammunition for them to firing their weapon.
There are probably few burglaries in Switzerland.
