Tattooing your eyeball. That’s a thing now.

KFI:

24-year-old Cat Gallinger from Ontario, Canada is warning others about the dangers of getting a “sclera tattoo,” which tints the whites of the eyes to another color using a hypodermic needle.

After getting her eye injected with purple ink, things went very wrong. She got the tattoo in mid-September and since then, it swelled up, turned purple, and started leaking. Her vision could be permanently ruined.  more

  1. It would have been more advantageous to marry an NFL football player, she would have different colors of purple, red, yellow and black all around her eyes.
The good parts are the discoloration leaves after a few weeks and she could file for divorce and get $Millions.

  2. I rmember reading about such a thing in the 1940’s. It was under the heading of “Crimes against humanity” and the fella pioneering it was Mengele.

Must have been a Trudea voter.

  3. My eyes are watering just looking at that. Back in High School I went up to the net to block a volleyball spike, and did so successfully with my face. Broke some blood vessels in my right eye and the entire white area turned red, lasted for about a week. Was really cool and freaky at the same time. I’ve done a good job since then of protecting my face.

  4. Oh, yeah, and don’t put your nuts in a vise.
And don’t smash your thumb with a hammer.
And don’t do that “drop an anvil on your head” like they do in the cartoons.
And you shouldn’t try to outrun a dynamite blast.
And don’t use an electric drill in your temple.
And don’t stab ice picks into your knees.
And don’t fire bottle rockets out of your ass.
And don’t set your pubes on fire to get rid of crabs.

    Jeez …

    izlamo delenda est …

  5. I’m so squeamish about my eyes I can barely get eye drops in. Contact lenses? Couldn’t do it. LASIK? No way. Plus look what that did to Tiger Woods. Number one golfer in the world. Had LASIK and he disappeared.
Well, LASIK and all the other stuff.

  6. Just recently heard about getting a permanent lens inserted to correct vision while having cataracts fixed,
gives me the creeps. Would be nice to be free of on and off glass’s.

  7. I’m a nurse practitioner and the only things that makes me squeamish are eyes. I am with PHenry on that topic. I would rather get a root canal than even get a regular eye exam. This is awful but except for the people here–Common Sense is now a Super Power.

  8. I had cataracts, a new lens is marvelous.
Had glaucoma, laser surgery fixed it.
Just cannot fathom subjecting your eyes voluntarily to something like that.
I walked into my bosses office one morning, he turned, I jumped.
He had that red eyeball Menotu was talking about, yep, it’s creepy cool.
They put him on a new med, blood vessels in both eyes started leaking.

  9. My cousin, who is diabetic, has vision problems and periodically undergoes laser treatments and injections into her eye. One of the injections went wrong and further damaged her vision. And this is with an M.D. doing it. What on earth would make someone risk this for “style?” Insane.
