Teacher On Paid Leave After Allegedly Duct Taping Student To A Chair

DC: A Colorado teacher was placed on paid leave after allegedly duct taping a middle school student to a chair.

Police say a cell phone video from Tuesday shows a teacher wrapping duct tape around a 13-year-old boy’s legs and torso, ABC News reported on Friday. The incident occurred at Prairie Heights Middle School in Evans, Colorado.

The teacher also placed the tape on the student’s mouth, which the student is seen removing, according to ABC 7. Officials said the 13 second video looked like it was taken during class.

“School officials spoke with the boy and his parents after they were made aware of what happened,” Theresa Myers, chief of communications for Greeley-Evans School District 6 told ABC News. “The school found out two days after the alleged incident took place.”  more here

  1. Same thing happened to a kid in my 2nd grade class in the late sixties, only it was with masking tape. In defense of the teacher, the kid was super hyper and getting on everybody’s nerves that day.

  2. My youngest brother was locked inside a closet at the local Congregational Church for being disruptive in Sunday School way back in the early 60’s. He can still be a pain, I love him anyway but he didn’t deserve that and when my mom found out we quit going to that church. The Congregational Church is still there and if anything it’s deader now than it was back in the 60’s. Even as a little kid I don’t ever remember them ever preaching the Gospel, it was then and still is more concerned with social justice.

And for some reason, the pool boy always shows up ……. they laugh and then fix dinner or have a swim ……. it’s a load of fun!

She always brings me ice cream when she cuts the tape off.
