Tearful mother says her family was kicked off flight because 2-year-old daughter wouldn’t wear a mask

Blaze: A tearful mother alleges that her family was recently kicked off a flight because her 2-year-old daughter refused to wear a face mask. The mother documented the alleged incident on video, and it has since gone viral on social media.

Eliz Orban said she was flying on a United Airlines flight from Colorado’s Denver International Airport to Newark International Airport in New Jersey this week. The couple have made it a tradition to visit the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, and were excited to include their daughter in the annual holiday ritual.

Orban said that the trip was coordinated with close friends and family to meet in New Jersey, including some they haven’t seen in years. The friends and family were flying in from Cleveland and Slovakia to meet up this weekend, according to Orban.

Orban, her husband, and their 2-year-old daughter boarded the airplane and were sitting in their seats. The husband and wife were wearing face masks, and their young daughter had a mask, but she didn’t want to wear the face covering. The father is seen on video attempting to put a mask on the toddler’s face several times, but the toddler continually blocks him from doing so.

Apparently, a United Airlines employee warned the couple that the 2-year-old needs to wear a face mask. The same United Airlines employee allegedly asked the family to disembark from the airliner because the 2-year-old refused to wear a mask. more

  1. If they had forced the child into wearing it she would have started screaming and then they would be kicked off for being animals, right?
There’s no win except to shame the shit out of United.

  2. That was United enforcing. a moronic Federal Aviation Administration [FAA] rule. If the airline does not enforce the rule, they get fined by the FAA. The problem is not with the Airline. Yje FAA is filled with idiotic Fauci clones.

  3. I will never fly United Airlines. One of my boys was in Kajikistan in 2013. He got a 4-day holiday pass. He hadn’t been home in a year. Military flew him to Turkey where he took a commercial flight to Kennedy Airport, where — after a day’s worth of misc. travel — he had a ticket on United to Florida. He was IN LINE (in uniform, by the way) to check in with United well over an hour before the flight. By the time he got to the counter, United agent refused to give him a boarding pass, claiming that he was: TWO MINUTES LATE. He ended up sitting 14 hours in Kennedy airport to get another United flight. I hate them. Hate hate. This is an asshole company.

  4. Seems to me the simple solution is to just say the child is UNDER 2 years of age.

Much like the family taking their kids to IHOP, where 10 and under eat free, and telling the waitress all the kids are under 10. Just have them cover up the tats and shave their mustache, they will be fine.

  5. Untied should get a supply of Winne the Pooh face masks or other Disney characters and pass them out to everyone and the kid. But then these 2 year old kids are pretty good at seeing through cons. Baby sitting my grand daughter has put me through hours of tattered nerves, see how my hand shakes.

  6. Since masks work so well — because science — then wouldn’t everyone else who was wearing masks be protected from the uncooperative 2 year old?

On my daily walk in the forest preserve the goons who approach from the other direction pull up their ‘mask’ as they walk by. Because you know that dirty old cut up armpit stained T-shirt will protect them from my coof cloud outside as we pass by, on a 6 foot wide trail, in 1 second.

Every day I want to hold someone by the neck and slap them around.

A better option is to wear 2 masks. Then it doesn’t matter if someone else isn’t wearing a mask.

  8. People will complain, but that’s about it. They won’t change things.
We have to purchase an extra seat because we’re overweight.
We have to get groped before boarding the plane.
We have to wear a mask or risk getting thrown off the plane.
You do have a choice, put up with it or boycott them.
