The CEO of the popular messaging app Telegram was arrested at Le Bourget airport on Saturday evening for refusing to comply with censorship laws.

  1. Don’t know much about Telegram but I thought it was mostly a private messaging app with end to end encryption, which would seem to make censorship/moderation unworkable. I’m likely missing the point since I don’t use any social apps and my interest in them is zero.

  2. The quality of politicians, which was never particularly high to begin with, has fallen so far that they are incapable of any sort of argument to justify their positions and policies. Therefore, they must rely on censorship because that is the last refuge.

  3. We’re not voting our way out of this. Remember looking at the French election map, the commies-their left parties including actual commies-won about half of Paris proper and NOTHING else, yet are ruling. How? Well, you tell me, it seems clear that the FIX is IN. Just like here in Amerika.

    The Rumble CEO was there too. He barely escaped arrest. Must have been some sort of convention or meeting with the French authorities. He’s saying the U.S. State Department is 100% behind this.
