DC: Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers found $1.5 million in drugs at the World Trade Bridge on the U.S.- Mexico border over a two-day period.
The first seizure of the drugs occurred on Tuesday, according to a CBP press release on Saturday. A 1999 Freightliner tractor was examined and through a non-intrusive imaging system along with a canine inspection, officers discovered 70 packages of cocaine.
The second seizure happened on Thursday when nine packages of heroin were found. They were found in a 1995 Chevrolet pickup using the same inspection processes.
The combined street value of the drugs was nearly $1.6 million, according to CBP.
This is not the first time large amounts of drug have been seized in the Laredo, Texas area. more
Just imagine how much they don’t find.
Close the border. Then the Mexicans will have the incentive to do something about it.
The arranged finds to throw a bone to customs, so it appears to be a major discovery.
Major routes continue unabated. There are an unlimited number of smuggling methods.
Did it have a bow on it? Dead giveaway.
Have some fun. Put out a lost & found notice for the drugs and see how many idiots come to claim them! 😀
