Texas Grandma Thwarts Christmas Jewelry Store Heist with Her Bare Hands

Breitbart: HOUSTON, Texas — A grandmother stopped a would-be Christmas week jewelry robbery by shoving the perpetrator out the door of the store. The suspect attempted to shove his way through as the employees entered to prepare the Galleria-area shop.

Judy Memmel, a grandmother of five, and her fellow employees opened the security gate of Houston Jewelry and unlocked the door as they prepared for a busy Christmas shopping day on December 18, Click2Houston reported. As she started into the store, a man approached wearing a suit, dark glasses, and a watch cap. The video below shows how Memmel stopped the suspected armed robber from entering the store.

“When he came up to the door and I looked at him, I said, ‘We’re not open,’” the 20-year Houston Jewelry employee said. After he pulled a gun and fired three shots into the store, “I shoved him and said, ‘No! You’re not coming in!’”  MORE

  1. She was self deputized, and it was her job to shove this clown around and keep everybody safe.
bravo!! there goes one lady who is a hobble a hell of a lot tougher than she looks.

  2. And she is one of their best salespersons. I LOVE her. Holy shit, she stayed so cool. And after shoving that jerk off she calmly locked the door and got her purse. She had been held hostage there in a robbery years before. And she chased burglars out of her own house as well. I hope she gets a windfall of good things and an opportunity to live and work someplace with less crime if she wants to. She is badass but nobody who works hard and pays taxes should have to repeatedly fight off robbers. And if she likes where she is and where she works, she should get a raise, promotion, and weapons of her choice.
