Envolve: A Houston Police Department (HPD) sergeant was arrested for allegedly paying for sex with a woman he knew was a human trafficking victim.
“On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, a Houston Police Department (HPD) sergeant was arrested by HPD for solicitation of prostitution and booked into the Harris County Jail,” the HPD said in a statement.
“Sergeant Cesar Beltran, assigned to the Midwest Patrol Division, was sworn in as an officer in June 1998. As a standard protocol, he was relieved of duty pending an investigation by the Houston Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division,” the statement continued. more
