This is absolutely infuriating.

Apparently, the Obama Administration left Americans’ private data vulnerable and exposed — all in the name of “financial protection.”

And when they learned what was happening, they didn’t do a damn thing to stop it.  MORE HERE

  1. And there’s another thing to worry about not mentioned by Dianny or Sperry. Should your identity ever be stolen, or if any of this financial information is used for other illegal and/or damaging purposes, good luck trying to pin the blame on your bank or credit card issuer or mortgage holder or anybody else. All they’d have to do is say, “Your data was stolen from the CFPB, not from us!”

    My expectations about the level of competence of govt IT security administrators was already lower than whale crap, but this story surprises even me.

  2. After having 2 credit cards hacked in 3 years I just figured my luck was bad.
    To do what they did the first time it happened the needed my ssn, mothers maiden name, birthday etc.
