The Constitution and Quarantine

Our Rights in a Pandemic.

11 Comments on The Constitution and Quarantine

  1. How did that Constitution work out during Katrina, when the City of New Orleans confiscated people’s guns, and never returned them? If the government can deny you all of your Bill of Rights rights, during a flu epidemic, then you have no rights.

  2. How myopic is the media?

    Is it now all about:
    TP?
    Quarantine?
    Hand sanitizer?
How to wipe your ass and cough properly?

    What is happening with:
    The border?
    Islamic threat?
    NOKO?
    Middle East?
    Demise of the EU?
    Investigation of Bidens?
    Clinton, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, etc.?
    ICE versus the states?
    Babies being murdered?

What else is sneaking under the radar?

We’ve got much bigger shit to deal with besides the King Flu.

    We’re not people, we’re sheeple.

  3. you have no inalienable rights

the US Constitution is a great idea, but in practice it really holds no power vs. the government … government grants latitude for society to function, as they deem necessary

… now, where’s my $1,000? … we are bought whores, not cheap hookers!

    (an insignificant distinction)

  4. In our state, our atheist, lesbian, stalinist governor has decreed no public assembly of over 25 people. This deprives me of my first amendment right to practice my religion. How about a class action lawsuit to sue her ass?

  5. Remember those popular lesson plans in high school civics where the brown-eyed people were given control over the blue eyes? And remember what always happened? Before anyone could say “Bob’s your uncle” those in charge turned into Hitler Youth. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

It was always the dumbest, least liked kid in the class who meted out the most terrible punishments. Meet your Democrat overseers. They’ll use any excuse to flex their so-called “Executive Prerogative”. They can’t help themselves.

  6. Anonymous,
“We thought the civil war would start in virginia, but it seems it will start in states with democrat fascist governors.”
How is “states with democrat fascist governors” different from “virginia?”

    izlamo delenda est …

  7. This really started to pi’s me off when our FSU basketball 🏀 team (ACC champions and number 4 in the nation with a good shot at National Championship) we’re suited up and in ready to play Clemson in a fanless stadium and the ACC pulled the plug, awarding the ACC trophy 🏆 and suspending immediately. All March Madness cancelled.

  8. All of us Gonzaga fans in Spokane felt like we were hosed as well, especially since GU’s first 2 round games were to be played at the Spokane Arena. At least with final poll out we’re still the # 2 men’s basketball team in the country. And I hear now that NASCAR wants to have a virtual race televised on Fox, good luck with that it’ll be like watching a friggin video game.
