There appears to be a bit of a Democrat Reformation going on within the American Catholic Church.
What caused the stir was the US Catholic Bishops deciding to determine once and for all whether Catholics who support abortion will be permitted to partake in the sacraments. The decision to address this issue was prompted by concerns voiced by some US Catholic Bishops that Joe Biden, a presumptive “devout Catholic” is a firm supporter of abortion.
But those within the Democrat Reformation are none too happy about it.
After US Catholic Bishops overwhelmingly approved a “teaching document” that would rebuke politicians, including Joe Biden, for receiving communion despite their support for abortion, sixty House Democrats signed on to a letter to the US Bishops demanding that they do not move forward with this move to “deny the most holy of all sacraments” over “one issue.”
And by “one issue” they mean supporting the unfettered slaughter of the unborn.
Instead of nailing this letter to the door of a church, however, the members of the Democrat Reformation simply mailed it to them.
However, that wasn’t enough for some of them.

Ahem. Not so. The Great Schism took some time but it began in the 11th Century. Attempts at reconciliation between the Eastern Orthodox Christians and the Roman Catholics were pretty much given up some 50 years before Luther’s time.

THEY are trying to HELP you not Damm yourself FURTHER by telling you that if you take Communion in this unholy state, you are only HURTING yourselves with God.
The Lord’s Supper isn’t a magic trick that gives you salvation, it’s partaking in the Body of Christ only IF you have a clear conscious to do so. Forcing some group of overdressed men to say it’s OK does NOT make it OK with GOD. God is NOT deceived and taking Communion by force only dooms yourself to hell MORE.

My point is (and I’m fairly sure you already know it) Martin Luther couldn’t just walk the extra blocks to another church. It isn’t as though there was an Eastern Orthodox church in town.
The point of being an adherent of ANY religion is that you (truly) believe in the tenets of that religion. Thus – if you believe in the wholesale murder of the innocents, you cannot – CANNOT – be a Christian (of any flavor). Not simply NOT be Roman Catholic, but CANNOT believe in Christ’s Doctrines AT ALL.
The Apostate is denying HIMSELF the most holy sacrament – the Church is simply allowing his choice to be made known.
To accept the Body and Blood of Christ KNOWING THAT YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN CHRIST’S DOCTRINE is the greater sin – abject hypocrisy compounded by attempting to use Christ Almighty as a prop for your political leanings.
