Doomsday Climate Studies Turn Out To Be Overblown Nonsense.

WFB: For over a decade, scientists have warned that the acidification of ocean water could decimate fish populations. Acidification changed fish behavior, several studies found, making them less likely to evade predators.

As carbon emissions pushed pH levels higher and higher, climate advocates sounded an apocalyptic tone. Fewer fish would mean fewer fisheries, which would imperil the livelihoods of millions of fishermen across the globe. It could also mean fewer medicines, many of which are derived from marine life.

According to a new paper in a top-ranked biology journal, these concerns are vastly overblown. more

  1. “As carbon emissions pushed pH levels higher and higher…”

Actually lower and lower. A pH of 7.0 is neutral. <7.0 is acidic.

  2. China is the biggest threat to the world ocean’s ecology. They dredge the ocean all over the world, even in protected habitats like the Galapagos, killing what they don’t keep. They put subsistent fisherman out of business by destroying their fishing grounds. But China’s biggest cheerleaders are the climate change communist cultist. Who see nothing and hear nothing.

  3. Dr. Ronald Bass, Head of the UK Fishy Ministry:

Look here, we went on a fishing expedition to find that data – and we found enough of it to support our claim of a serious problem of declining fish populations. Yes, it only covered North Atlantic Cod, but that doesn’t invalidate our finding that the cause is global warming. The deniers are saying our data smelt worse than a dead mackerel.

Now get back out there and find the data that supports our position. I don’t care where it comes from or how accurate it is. It could come from some Witch Doctor in Burkina Faso, I don’t care as long as its government calls it official.

We all know it’s caused by global warming – now just find or get the data any way you can.
