CBS; ORLANDO, Fla. — Officials say the owner of a king cobra that escaped an Orlando home last week is being cited for not immediately reporting it.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports that Mike Kennedy realized the snake had escaped from its cage last Tuesday after returning from a two-day trip. Court documents say Kennedy spent about 24 hours searching for the cobra before reporting it missing. More

  1. I was just glad to scroll down and see it was Orange Co Florida and not NC. Keeping a King Cobra sounds about like something one of the weirdos around here would do. I had a friend a couple years ago who kept a Gaboon Viper in his house. Thank God an ice storm power outage killed the snake before the snake killed anybody! Idiots!

  2. Hey maybe another idiot let a King Cobra
escape of the opposite sex.Now Florida has
King Cobras everywhere along with 37 foreign parrots,
57 foreign fish and 15 foreign mean ass killer snakes.

  3. Years ago I took one of my house rabbits to the exotics vet for a check up. Here I am with cute fuzzy French Lop on her harness, walk into the waiting room and see the other occupant. It happened to be a 6 ft long alligator also on a harness and leash. It’s mouth was taped shut. The owner was a greasy goon in need of a sheep dip.

Bunny and I decided to wait outside the clinic with 2 goats. The alligator owner was a known northeast Ohio kook. Some time later it didn’t end well for this joker. We’ve had several exotic owners in Ohio come to bad ends. Unfortunately the animals pay the price.

There is some ass of a plastic surgeon living down the road who has big cats. We hear them late at night along with his screaming peacocks.

For Pete’s sake what’s wrong with going to the pound and getting a dog or a cat?
