The article shared on Tuesday, titled “International Women’s Day: 10 of the best female-only trips for solo travellers,” listed “Hike in Morocco” as their first recommendation.
Intrepid Travel has launched new limited edition women’s expeditions, which are all about “breaking down barriers, fostering discussion and creating immersive local experiences for women that are ordinarily off limits on our regular group departures”.
Sounds like a good idea, I think all feminists should do this.

The travel and airline magazines are full of these articles trying to entice adventurous westerners to visit these foreign shitholes. Last month’s United Airlines magazine had a front cover of a young tourist woman walking by herself down an alleyway in Bogota, Colombia. Tourists should never do that anymore. Neither men nor women. It’s asking for trouble. I believe the inhabitants of such places can spot an American tourist a mile away. Getting your throat slit in a Bogota alleyway is no way to live. I spent 3 months there in the late 1990’s and it indeed is a shithole, and very dangerous.
I would have written a protest letter or email to UA, but there was no address to send it to and they don’t publish letters in the magazine anyway.
