The Leaning Tower of San Francisco – IOTW Report

The Leaning Tower of San Francisco

San Francisco’s leaning Millennium Tower is now partly supported to bedrock as part of a “seismic upgrade,” but experts tell NBC Bay Area that questions remain about how well the newly bolstered tower will stand up in a quake.

Let’s take a look at what’s happening in California as we begin our deep dive into the sinking tower of San Francisco.

  1. My house is sandwiched between the San Andreas, Pilarciros and San Gregorio(that one is very close) fault lines. I’m screwed. 😂 “There’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on.” 🎤🎶🎸

A few homes have slid down the bluffs overlooking the ocean and one is right at the edge. The road that runs along the bluffs has been closed for some years. The displacement over time has been amazing. Half of the road is about 6 feet above the other half.

We have little quakes pretty frequently but that is good; it releases a bit of tension.

  2. TRF is right (as usual). San Francesspit’s feces and bum piss will turn any bedrock into a drooping, sagging acidic mess that will sink any building into its infernal goo.

  3. The problem all along was the building not being tied (embedded) to bedrock. The quick fix solution to the problem has made it worse, at great cost.

Typical Government justification to spend more tax dollars to “fix” an initial expert Engineering failure and the failed city approval process.
