When it comes to Christmas movies there is “A Christmas story” and then there is “Die Hard”; anything else- BOR-ING which is to say ‘don’t waste my time’.
It was a tradition in my kids Grade school to watch every year. They could never get past the creepy animation to see any message. I prefer the original miracle on 34th streeet or as my husband calls it the first hallmark Christmas movie christy944 for my “I believe” moments.

The dead, lifeless eyes… an incremental evolution of animation… that failed.
HOWEVER, the spirit expressed is wonderful. 🙂

Where’s the part with baby Jesus and the manger?
It reminded me of the lying bullshit Sean Hannity foisted on little kids last night by saying that Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the ToothFag were real.
We lie to our kids from the time they’re little and then wonder how the hell these impressionable kids grow up to be socialist libtards.

There’s a video on YT detailing all the pedo themes throughout this movie. I never liked the lifeless animation, then when I watched the YT Video it really grossed me out.
Have liberals found a way to ruin this movie, too?

Sweetie and I did the Polar Express train ride in Williams, Az last year with the grandkids. It was a hoot.

Like MANY here I have been watching animation my entire life. And I would say that this ranks up there with some of the best, yes computer assisted but hey that’s how it is at least for now. Even somewhat ground breaking.
Did they not get the eyes correct? No they certainly did not. Is Tom Hanks an aay hole? Maybe?
@OutdoorJohn – we did it in Lenox, Ma AND Phillipsburg, NJ when my troops were younger and heavy into it, still are, just not getting on a train for it!
The eagle/ticket scene alone gives this movie it’s chops.
The theme of the movie is BELIEVE and I am down wit dat.
We have the Lionel train lay out in our sun room right now, trains being the conduit of the story and who does not LOVE trains?

For me, Christmas movie = It’s a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart. Nothing else compares.

Pretty good film, IMHO. I predict it will be a future classic, if it’s not already. The music and the theme make the movie, not the graphics.

I say that as a devout believer mind you.
Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah
Meh. Tom Hanks. No Thanks.
