The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York lashed out at the “cowards who run” NYC and demanded the NYPD stop policing social distancing

Legal Insurrection: The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York (NYCPBA) lashed out at the “cowards who run” NYC and demanded the NYPD stop policing social distancing.

“This situation is untenable: the NYPD needs to get cops out of the social distancing enforcement business altogether,” stated PBA President Patrick J. Lynch.

Lynch then said that those “cowards who run this city” have not given the police anything “but vague guidelines and mixed messages, leaving the cops on street corners to fend for ourselves.”

Lynch noted that “[N]nobody has a right to interfere with police action.” The NYPD has received some backlash, which means those who run the city “are once again throwing us under the bus.” more

  1. Fortunately, the people of NYC never get upset enough with the police to retaliate against them while they’re out on the streets.

This social distancing stuff may even turn out to be good PR for them (the police) since it will make them a closer part of the community and make for better relationships between the police and the people in the neighborhoods.

  2. He should tell his benevolent storm troopers to back off because you can find videos all over Instagram of NYPD beating the crap out of people that apparently to close.

  3. Lynch:

…nobody has a right to interfere with police action.

Wrong, O Beneviolent One. Citizens have a right to resist unlawful arrest. They may well get thumped – or worse – for it, but that is indeed a right, and recognized by courts. You may have heard of them. Courts of law. Maybe not.

You may not recognize it, but a cop insisting that no one has a right to interfere with his actions is a coward.

  4. Social distancing is a bunch of witchcraft. There is no difference between people who did not go on lockdown and people who did go on lockdown, ecept.
The people who did not go on lockdown built up the herd immunity to disease,
The people who did go on lockdown did not.
