I have also heard her dying wish quoted as she didn’t want to be replaced until a NEW president was sworn in. …and yes, pretty much every person I’ve seen die of cancer, which is a LOT, was intubated and therefore physically incapable of “last words”. Sure you can WRITE while being respite, but most aren’t sentient enough at that point to do so, or indeed seem to be aware anyone’s in the room…
