  1. I taped pretty much the whole Olympics, fast-forwarded through so I saw everything fast-motion at least. NBC spent an awful, awful lot of time on ‘stories’, plus way too much advertising. And also spent hours – and I do mean hours – reliving the ’68 Olympics and particularly John Carlos and Tommie Smith doing the black glove thing. Boy do they love fanning the flames of racism.
Kudos to those who won – the competition was absolutely intense (curling even! 😉 ) and every competitive athlete spent thousands of hours training just to compete. The tiny nation of Norway set a new Winter Olympics record for medals against strong competition from the rest of Europe as well as USA, Canadia, Japan and Korea – although I do wonder how much the total medal count has increased with all the crazy snow boarding, skiing, speed skating competitions.

  2. I refuse to watch sports, any sports.
All have become nothing but a paid political/corporate commercial.
Some Olympians in Korea “Took a knee.”
NBC lost their collective ass in this endeavor, there is no chance they even have a clue as to why.
Wa-Tho-Huk (Jim Thorp) was stripped of his medals, these little pansies aren’t fit to wash his jock strap.

  3. I watched about 20 minutes of women curling during lunch last week. Nice butts.

“Speaking the truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act.” Geo. Orwell

  4. Last night at the start of NBC’s programming Tom Brokaw narrated a puff piece on South Korea.
I didn’t know old Tommy had a stroke.
    Who knew?

If he didn’t have a stroke then he was imitating someone who has had multiple strokes.
Seriously, I couldn’t listen to that audio, it was that fucking bad.
