We have talked a lot about the liberal assault on our right as American citizens to keep and bear arms for the defense of ourselves, our families, our communities, and our Constitution, but it is a mistake to think of a disarmed population as their desired end-state. No, that’s merely the first step toward the subjugation of the Normals. What they want is not only for us to be disarmed, but to be silenced.
They are not going to stop with the Second Amendment. Next, they are going to move to finish off the First Amendment.
They don’t want you to speak freely.
They don’t want you to have access to a free press.
They don’t want you to practice your religion as you see fit.
And when you are disarmed and silenced, and you are stripped of any god but government – the government they control absolutely and forever – then they will have achieved their dream. You will no longer be a citizen; you will be a serf.
We can imagine what an America without our rights would look like, and it is really bad.
Oh, that’s crazy talk.
Really? Let’s look across the ocean and see what’s happening there. The British have kindly given us a preview. They allowed themselves to be disarmed, but why would they need guns? Britain is totally safe – except London just stumbled past New York in terms of violent crime. Oh, and it has an epidemic of knife violence. And acid attacks. But on the plus side, the decent people are helpless.
In the view of the elite, that is a plus. When you are helpless, you need them, and you are compliant.
But at least they have freedom of speech . . . except no, they don’t. In recent weeks, some guy calling himself Count Dankula was convicted of a crime for saying something.
For saying something.
It was a joke, and a tasteless one, but he now faces jail for speaking words. Think about that. MORE
How ironic that we are turning into our former oppressors.
Forget God and just look at Europe for our future.

@F.D.R. – The real mistake was Wilson’s in taking the U.S. into the first world war. If it weren’t for that, a second global war likely would not have taken place.

I’ve been doing informal surveys re: second amendment for over twenty years. Randomly, non-confrontational, conversationally.
Just about fuck all nobody that grew up in this country understands the difference. Which, spelling it out painfully, ONCE AGAIN, the Second Amendment of the US Constitution grants nothing. It does not convey onto you, a citizen of this nation, a right to bear weapons. The government does not in any form or fashion convey by their benevolence and wisdom the right to be armed. It just don’t say that. Not even close.
It is solely and entirely a warning to government (at the federal level) to not fuck with a God given Right to self preservation. At all. Don’t legislate, don’t regulate, don’t even look that direction. The word used was “Infringe”. The government was warned not to even do that. That word possesses a definitive meaning. Which is, “Don’t even think about that”.
I will not address state’s rights in this post. That is a different topic. I am speaking solely of the power granted, and reserved, from the feds.
Totalitarianism is the goal.
Stated (in so many words) and alluded to in the subtle dissimulations of the various politicians, pundits (of the press), Academicians, Union maggots, “Legal Weasels” of the ACLU and SPLC, the myriad “Immigrant Rights” groups, the “Race Hustling Poverty Pimps” of the Rainbow Coalition, Operation Push, ACORN, and the National Action Network, the traitors under the Soros umbrella, CAIR and the assorted izlamic organizations, the Demonrat Party, and last (but certainly not least) the RNC.
They are pushing towards a conflagration that they believe they can win.
They are, indeed, a formidable alliance.
Look to the past, specifically the Spanish Civil War of 1936, to get an inkling of their intents and purposes: the totalitarians effectively took over the gov’t through elections, no less, by lies and dissimulations and enacted wide and sweeping obscenities against the Church and all who refused to toe the socialist/syndicalist/unionist/anarchist/communist (sorry Al, the anarchists joined the deceitfully named “Republican” gov’t) program.
As we all know, Stalin supported the “Republicans” and German National Socialists and Italian Fascists supported the Falangist movement headed by Franco.
Unlike Spain, there will be no support here, except the 3rd world puppets and leftovers from the collapse of Inter-National Socialism and the Globaloney-ists of the United Nations – who will support the anti-Americans – of course.
Russia and China (as well as mexico and canada) will try to let us exhaust ourselves in our internecine slaughter until they can pick the carcass clean without too much effort.
Anyone who propounds that repealing the 2nd is for the “public safety” or the “l’il chillens” is a stone liar. I admit that there may be useful idiots producing chin-music to the cacophony – but I submit that they know (even if only in their hearts) that what they are out to accomplish is the total destruction of the United States of America.

Except, Lowell, I would argue it doesn’t say “infringed” “by whom” and along with the 10th Amendment, it is clearly the supreme law of the Union and applies to all people in it, including the States.
In this same sense, EVERY amendment applies to the States.
@Lowell: As much as I appreciate the fact that the War of Northern Aggression (sometimes referred to as “The War Between the States”) was necessary in order to preserve the United States as a nation, I do believe that it pretty much put the kibosh on the idea of “States rights”. Want to secede from a Union that you joined freely and voluntarily? Sorry – the Federal government will keep you from doing that by force of arms. Want to segregate your schools by race? Sorry – the Federal government will force you do that by force of arms. Want to establish your own weird religious cult in Waco, Texas…?
I could go on, but I won’t.
Bottom line is: States rights are what the Federal government will allow. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes, not only are the citizens of England dis-armed, they do not have freedom of speech–witness the jailing of the guy who taught his dog to do the Nazi salute as a joke.
The likes of david hogg n his millennial commies would just love the scenario where we old retired folks are left unarmed and defenseless to their particular brand of mercy.
