That is why whenever and wherever City Council members and appointed officials here quietly slip out the side door when I show up at a City sponsored “Open House” or “Listening Session.” They leave the lower level City staff to take the heat. Keep it factual and don’t allow them to segue off topic and point out that they didn’t answer the question or respond to the statement and they are done. Also let it be known that you can and will sue them onto the streets if they don’t retract any and all defamatory comment directed at you.
