Thoughts on Durham, Barr, Jensen and DOJ Production to Sidney Powell

Conservative Treehouse: The document production by USAO Jeff Jensen to Michael Flynn attorney, Sidney Powell, provides an opportunity for me to share a detached research opinion from my ongoing time outside the wire in the center of the swamp.

No matter what open source information is collected; and no matter what evidence congress can assemble; the toxic political environment in DC is the primary driver of DOJ investigative events.  It shouldn’t be, but the reality of action reflects an uncomfortable truth. Here’s my opinion on what is happening.

Attorney General Bill Barr is trying to split the baby against two competing narratives.

♦ On one hand there is enough evidence to indict former officials for gross abuses of power, falsifying information to a FISA court (violating fourth amendment protections); manipulating investigative effort for political purposes; weaponizing the intelligence apparatus of the U.S. to target political opposition, and then using their positions to cover-up their corrupt and unlawful conduct. more

  1. “I’m sick of Barr: the man is a living example of too little, too late.”
Maybe, but he doesn’t post under anonymous.

Charlie, I think so. If Trump invokes the Insurrection Act Post election, he could fill GITMO.

  2. Brad,
Walka mile in someone’s shoes before you criticize their need to post to a blog like this annonymously.
Unlike Barr, there is no army of bodyguards to protect us for the rest of our lives, nor do we get Barr’s fat pension.
Barr blew it. The swamp’s lies have taken on a life of their own, and Barr’s ‘investigations’ are a joke to the left and their useful idiots, no matter what they actually find.
Christopher Wray still heads the FBI. What else do you need to know?
I don’t blame Trump – he can only do so much.

  3. Joe DeGenova was on Greg Kelly last night. He said Barr got a late start on this stuff and Durham is taking his time to make sure nothing goes wrong with any upcoming indictments.

  4. What pisses me off is this, do you think for a second that if the parties were reversed and the Democrats were the ones ”investigating” that they would not have already indicted and prosecuted EVERY Republican involoved?

  5. Instead of being pissed at Barr your vitriol should be aimed at Sessions. His lack of courage and foresight might, in the end, allow the largest political scandal in our history to go unpunished.

  6. I too am frustrated, dissatisfied that Barr / Durham and associates haven’t yet sent a bus load, or three, to prison for long terms, preferably life with no parole for most of them.

However, I am trying keep in mind the swamp is large and deep, it has a huge population of dangerous critters that cooperate/scheme with each other as one giant nasty monster to keep swamp life thriving, and it will take longer than we want to knot a strong fine mesh net large enough to catch as many of them as possible for the bus ride. I hope they prove worthy of that trust, and I am not in the end proven a fool.
