Three-quarters of Americans Surveyed Can’t Pay Their Bills

New American

ending Tree, the online lending marketplace, asked 2,040 American consumers in early September how they were doing. Seventy-six percent of them said that Bidenflation has made it more difficult than ever to pay their bills. Half of them said they have had to pay certain bills late in the last 12 months. That includes essentials like utility bills, mortgage payments, and cable or internet bills.

When pressed for the reason why, more than half of them answered, “I didn’t have enough money to pay the bill.”

The New American has diligently covered the decline in the economy, contrary to those in the mainstream media whistling past the graveyard. On September 10, we reported that the U.S. consumer was in deep trouble, according to a report from the New York Fed. But one had to dig deep into the numbers to find the truth.

The U.S. Census Bureau was slightly more forthcoming, reporting that nearly four out of 10 adults in the country were finding it “somewhat” or “very” difficult to pay their household expenses: food, gas, rent, insurance, healthcare, and so on. more

  1. When all is said and done;
    ¾ of Americans have and/or will end up paying the largest percentage of their income to local, county, state and/or federal taxes.
    Whether on food, clothing, housing, property, transportation, gasoline, recreation or any other thing that would include the maintenance thereof. Americans even have to pay for postage to send their REQUIRED remittance to the F**king tax collector.
    And then sit back and watch how the ASSHOLES-that-be, piss away the tax money for the most egregious shit.

    I am sure another revolution is long over due.

  2. Adding insult to injury; how many of these folks struggling financially (all voters, BTW) have the self-awareness and foresight to connect the dots,”Gee, when Trump was president, I was doing OK, and had more money in my pocket. Now, I’m getting killed, and the Democratic nominee wants more of the same. Maybe I can change that next month?”

  3. Since I paid off all my credit cards and don’t use them anymore a few years ago I don’t have any financial problems. I have minimal debts, my mortgage payment is very reasonable, my 2009 Subaru Forester I was able to pay cash for. And I can live within my means, so life is good, and I am a blessed man.
