Tom Hanks’ Award Ceremony Gets Cancelled by West Point Alumni Association

Lifezette-

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) has canceled a planned awards ceremony that was set to honor actor Tom Hanks later this month, according to an email sent to members and confirmed by multiple reports.

The ceremony had been scheduled for September 25, where Hanks was to receive the Sylvanus Thayer Award, an honor given annually to non-West Point graduates who demonstrate the values of “Duty, Honor, Country.”

Retired Army Colonel Mark Bieger, president and CEO of the alumni association, explained the decision in the message. more

  1. WTF!

Why was he ever nominated in the first place? Paid to pretend is not anywhere close to demonstrating the Point’s Core values.

That’s like naively believing declarations of love from paid painted ladies on Victory Drive outside the gates…”Me luv you long-time GI.”

  2. Don’t like him.

I really can’t stand actors who play hero with a gun and then spend every waking hour trying to ban them.

Also, he and his wife RAISED A COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP of a SON.

  3. I have no animosity toward Hanks, many believe he is an exceptional Actor.
It’s just his failure to recognize what Biden did and did not do.
Hanks was silent during the Generally abysmal Biden Administration on the issues such as unvetted illegal, open borders, High Crime in the Major democrat Cities, Economy, inflation, Military Failures, Ukraine, incompetence of his Afghanistan withdrawal, unemployment, Cost of living and cost of our military readiness causing a National Emergency.

Hanks never spoke out about the failures of the Biden/Harris failures.

Hanks, is just an actor faking being in fear of combat experienced by real Service men, faking real emotions, just to pick a few.

NOT worthy of the West Point recognition.
