Tom MacDonald – ‘Dummies’

That comment about the wheelchair ramps is great.

  1. I have a hard time listening to rap too, but this one says something! Itz a great opening overture to the new kakistocracy of world’s largest collection of dumbed-down, self-absorbed, spoon-fed, celebrity-obsessed, White guilt-ridden, Birkenstock-wearing, bottled-water-drinking, Politically Correct, kumbaya-singing, Xanax-disabled, Rainbow Plantation, bobble-headed Socialist Liberal Lemmings catering to a bunch of worthless federal tit-sucking, free-shit-grabbing, no morals, unemployed, barely aware, dope-smoking, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed, sheet grabbing, pillow biting, moisturizing-metro-sexuals and Food-Stamp wielding, Escalade driving, Kool-Aid drinking, government-dependent, entitlement rich, busted-ass, uninformed, short attention span parasites all in lock-step with Stupid!

  2. I absolutely love Tom’s work.
His girlfriend,Nova does all his video work.
    She is amazing.
All Tom’s work, from the song writing, to the video production, to album distribution is all independent. He is beholden to no label and has hit number one spots across music platforms, with no professional promotors.
His success is fan driven and he isn’t sold to us by some corporation.

  3. I only hung with it for 10 seconds or so. I can’t stand rap.
But, as Breitbart said, politics is downstream from culture.

As much as I hate to say it, rap is a culture. Not a good culture. But a culture.

  4. Us older folks might not like, or even hate rap. Just blow it off, want nothing to do with it. The problem is that it is not going anywhere. Crap or not, it’s the younger generations music. When you come across someone like Tom, you don’t have to like it to appreciate it. I have 5 kids from the ages 15-28. All of them know who he is, along with 100 more we never hear of. The kids are not going to embrace the 60’s or 70’s or even 80’s stuff. You want to reach young people? This is an avenue that will do it. Even if you don’t like the manor in which it is being broadcast. They don’t like “OUR” music either. Every time he, and a few other drop a new song, i get a link texted to me from at least one of my kids.

  5. In case anyone cares –

I love the earth but I don’t really wanna save it (what?)
Everything is sexist, homophobic, or it’s racist
When life gives us lemons we’re supposed to wanna change it
But my generation rather take some pills and escape it
Say that I’m transphobic if you wanna but one day I’ll be a father
And I really hope my son don’t grow up to be my daughter
I ain’t tryna hurt your feelings, skin should be a little thicker
That’s the problem, being honest got ’em triggered (triggered)
The kids are getting weaker ’cause they’re sheltered by society
Pumpkin spice Ativan for seasonal anxiety (woo)
Wokeness has become a way to bully non-violently
And cancel everyone without improving on the life we lead

Without the white, there’s no black, without the straight, there’s no gay
Without the men, there’s no women, without the night, there’s no day
Without the idiots, we couldn’t laugh at them when they fall
So maybe we need them after all

    Ain’t nobody dumber than y’all
Ain’t nobody dumber than y’all (ay yo)
I guess you love to be wrong
Or you don’t have the guts or the balls (ay yo)
Dumb, dumb dumb, dumb, dumb dumb
Dumb, dumb dumb, dee dee dumb dumb dumb
Dumb, dumb dumb, dumb, dumb dumb
Dumb, dumb dumb, dee dee dumb dumb

I love the earth but I don’t really wanna save it
Everyone’s obsessed with making stupid people famous (yo)
If a white boy raps then it’s called appropriation
But Beyoncé does her hair blonde and people say she slayed it (weird)
Everybody’s outraged, everybody’s mad (big mad)
Our solutions to the issues don’t make no sense
If stairs are the problem, we build wheelchair ramps (uh-huh)
We don’t cancel feet or persecute the people with legs
The feminists who started their movement would be ashamed of so many things
They fought so you could vote not show your butthole on OnlyFans

Call me homophobic just because I think straight (ew)

I love people even though we disagree (disagree)

Dumb, dumb dumb, dee dee dumb dumb

I love the earth but I don’t really wanna save it
Classifying people by their sex and race degrades them
But we still say straight white males are the worst of our population
Guess the labels are okay if they’re Caucasian (that’s right)
Our kids are living in their rooms, I swear we barely ever see ’em
Go outside sometimes, there’s fresh air you could be breathing
Put your phones down, play sports, do something illegal
Go and meet your families, they’re probably nice people
These days you’re a Nazi if you don’t hate the police
They say that white folks think all Asian people are Chinese (hm)
I’m sorry, what kind of white people you mean? (Uh)
English, Scottish, German, Swedish, or Greek?

And Black Lives Matter is problematic (why?)
It excludes anyone without the pigment, it’s automatic (okay)
I understand all the reasons it happened
But including all humans is the actual answer (oh no)

    Ain’t nobody dumber than y’all
Ain’t nobody dumber than y’all (ay yo)
I guess you love to be wrong
Or you don’t have the guts or the balls (ay yo)

  6. My problem with something like that is that I can’t understand all of it. It is just too fast for my ancient eardrums. Combine it with that rap “accent” and something gets lost in the translation.

What I did hear was good, though. I agree, if we want to reach young people we can’t do it with a Beatles’ tune. Although it is amazing the songs that are “adapted” into today’s music. I heard an adaption of “Heart and Soul” in a store once.

  7. Not having a tee vee is one of the best things one can do to keep all the junk he’s singing about out of your home — and out of your kids’ lives. And it saves money.

  8. I like it. Grew up in the 80s and 90s with Beastie Boys, Ice-T, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, among many other rappers. It’s often not my favorite genre, but it has a place in my collection. As a teenager, early 20s, it’s inspiring to hear them flaunt wealth and success with money, cars, women, you can’t deny some of the messaging. What young man doesn’t want these things?

Much rap today is bad, especially from the women of WAP and monotone autotune heartless crap with a beat that’s repeated in every damn tune, it makes appreciating Tom much easier.

Yea, yea, I know not a popular belief to hold among octogenarians here.

  9. Sorry I like it. Especially the message. I’m 75 and have been playing drums in either Rock or Country bands since I was 14. Gotta expand those musical horizons to keep up.

  10. I don’t listen to rap. But I may very well listen to this song everyday for the rest of the year. To those that hate it, please, force yourself to listen, again, and again. This dude gives me hope.

  11. Well, there is a message in there – somewhere. Dummies? He’s calling out dummies who have no mind, yet he chooses to mark his face up permanently, and I’m suppose to think he’s a legit conservative. What he’s rapping about is common sense and that’s what the problem is and always has been, very few are blessed with common sense. He’s got a message – rap isn’t it for me.

  12. P.S. His garb, faggery props, his whole persona distracted from his message. I kept waiting for something really weird and out of the ordinary coming from him, he never got there.

  13. I have no problem with “rap;” the distraction for me were the visual litany of poor life choices that this young citizen made. Nobody’s demanding anyone look like Sinatra or Bogart, but cut-the-shit. Everything in moderation …
