With 24 candidates running for president against President Trump, Democratic Party chairman Tom Perez has moved to cut the size of the clown car so voters can at least see the candidates on a single screen at the upcoming first debate, come June. Fringe candidates can go to the children’s table. According to the Associated Press:
The parameters, announced Wednesday, are likely to help cull a crop of 24 candidates and, in the process, intensify scrutiny on Democratic Chairman Tom Perez and his pledge to give all candidates a chance to be heard .
The DNC’s outline for its September debate — the third of at least a dozen promised matchups during the 2020 nominating fight — decrees that candidates can participate only by reaching 2% in four approved polls released between June 28 and Aug. 28 while also collecting contributions from a minimum of 130,000 unique donors before Aug. 28. That donor list must include a minimum of 400 individuals in at least 20 states. The qualifications would remain the same for an October debate, though the party hasn’t set the deadline for measuring fundraising and polling.

They’re using “polls” which most often are inaccurate if not outright goofy.
Shucks, I wanted to hear what every candidates donut preference was. How will I ever learn how to eat salad with a comb? These are such important questions for the Dems. I’m not sure I can live without the answers. 😭
It’s amusimg to watch them use common sense and good management when it comes to trying to win, then when they win, they revert back to chaos from behind which they loot the government.

Got to admit that just giving 24 candidates 5 minutes each for a opening statement would take 2 hours.
When the debates start their infighting should be hilarious. There hasn’t been an assembly of clowns like this gathered in memory.
They can have a debate before the big debate for the rest of the crew like the Republicans did when they had 17 candidates. The real problem is making sure the group you premiere don’t end up looking like a bunch of lunatics (impossible to avoid). You also have to balance your identity politics which is going to be a huge issue when your front runners are the chosen old white Biden and crazy Bernie beating up on 10 other minority, gay and/or female candidates.
Come on. Let all 23 up there on the same stage. It would be comedy gold!
Let them all up there. Get Tom Steyer and Rob Reiner to moderate. It would be the funniest shit ever aired on TV.
