Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Wednesday that an MS-13 “kingpin” who is wanted on charges of murder in his native El Salvador was taken into custody in Omaha, Nebraska.
The gang member, who is listed on El Salvador’s “100 Most Wanted” list, has not yet been identified to the public. He is wanted for “aggravated homicide of five victims, attempted aggravated homicide, deprivation of liberty and terrorist organization affiliation,” in his home country, according to an ICE press release.
“These illegal aliens didn’t just sneak into our country, they brought with them a legacy of violence, terror, and death,” Mark Zito ICE Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge of Kansas City, told Fox News. “They thought they could hide in America’s heartland, but they were sadly mistaken, not on our watch.” more
