Trump gets a boost from an unexpected Catholic church ally

American Thinker:

By Monica Showalter

It’s almost like a Hobbit or a Star Wars movie or something, at least if you are non-Catholic, and actually, even if you are.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the titular archbishop of the mythical-sounding Ulpiana (which is some place in Ruritania, err, Kosovo), has sent President Trump an unexpected letter of support, speaking deeply of good and evil.

The archbishop, whose name was last in the news for his rather courageous stance exposing Vatican knowledge of pedophiles, began his new pronouncement with this:

In recent months we have been witnessing the formation of two opposing sides that I would call Biblical: the children of light and the children of darkness. The children of light constitute the most conspicuous part of humanity, while the children of darkness represent an absolute minority. And yet the former are the object of a sort of discrimination which places them in a situation of moral inferiority with respect to their adversaries, who often hold strategic positions in government, in politics, in the economy and in the media. In an apparently inexplicable way, the good are held hostage by the wicked and by those who help them either out of self-interest or fearfulness.

In that mystical way of his, the Alec Guinness Ben Obi-wan Kenobi, or maybe Gandalf figure, then states what a lot of us are already thinking, emphasis mine:

In society, Mr. President, these two opposing realities co-exist as eternal enemies, just as God and Satan are eternal enemies. And it appears that the children of darkness – whom we may easily identify with the deep state which you wisely oppose and which is fiercely waging war against you in these days – have decided to show their cards, so to speak, by now revealing their plans. They seem to be so certain of already having everything under control that they have laid aside that circumspection that until now had at least partially concealed their true intentions. The investigations already under way will reveal the true responsibility of those who managed the Covid emergency not only in the area of health care but also in politics, the economy, and the media. We will probably find that in this colossal operation of social engineering there are people who have decided the fate of humanity, arrogating to themselves the right to act against the will of citizens and their representatives in the governments of nations.

  1. As a no longer going to church catholic, this is one of the few guys who does not make me sick. Yet.

But, there have been a lot of surprises in the last few hundred years.

    pope frankie is an imposter!

  2. Wow.
I do hope Pres. Trump actually got this letter and not just some aide.
Trump has brought back God to the White House. Obama removed Him and replaced Him with Black Theology, aka Black Supremacy and Marxism.
Satan is not happy. God wins in the end.

  3. Trump ought to invite him to the White House and arrange for him to say a Mass in the National Cathedral. Give the US Catholics something to regain hope and maybe start a pushback against the leftist in Rome as well as the Red Cardinals that elected him.

  4. As he states, the gloves are off, the pretense of acting under the same rules is shattered. POTUS Trump and we are finally free to call everything and everyone what they are in unguarded terms.

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

It is my prayer that the scales will fall from the eyes of those who have been weaned on the milk of lies.

“As a no longer going to church catholic, this is one of the few guys who does not make me sick. Yet.”

If you were better informed you would know that there are a lot of solid people in the Catholic Church. The problem is that the hierarchy has been infiltrated and taken over by Marxist revolutionaries.

That is what has allowed the lower ranks to be shot through with absolute human filth as well. Orthodox Catholics have recognized this for five decades.

  6. THIS is good, even mind blog-gling, the liberal cafeteria type catholics are pissed off!

While the conservatives Catholics, like me, ‘see some light’ from this incredible Letter.

  7. The letter to President Trump was originally published on Lifesitenews. https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/archbishop-viganos-powerful-letter-to-president-trump-eternal-struggle-between-good-and-evil-playing-out-right-now

Here is the link to Catholic scholar Dr Taylor going over the letter almost word for word on his YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/_4upHPYKtqE Dr Taylor has a huge library of videos on YouTube. Dr Taylor gives a superior interpretation than American Thinker and their silly references to movies. American Thinker’s heart is in the right place but Dr Taylor brings deep understanding of the letter.

  8. It isn’t even the whole letter on American Thinker, the most important passages are left out.

The American Thinker writer is a clown who can only pretend to understand the profound message from Vigano by reducing it to the lowest common denominator – Star Wars. It was embarrassing for me to read her drivel. Even the headline misses the point.

  9. What a wonderful letter (read his entire letter – the PDF link). Great insight into the battle between good and evil.

I would, however, like to point out that his use of the word, eternal is incorrect. “God and Satan are eternal enemies” – no, not eternal. In the book of Revelation in the Bible, God will cast Satan into the bottomless pit. After the 1,000-year reign of Jesus Christ where he is the government; the ruling authority, Satan will be released to draw the unfaithful to him to ‘destroy’ Christ and all good in the world. Before their first strike, God will destroy them. At that time, he will cast Satan into the lake of fire where he will remain forever. The result of this final battle also shows that the statement in the title of the post from Life Site News is also incorrect in the use of ‘eternal’, “Eternal struggle between good and evil”. The struggle/battle is real; just not eternal.

Also, in the second paragraph, the Archbishop lays out what he says will allow the person “to merit the Kingdom of Heaven”. Nothing any human can do will earn them Heaven. God has already made the way by the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ for man to be forgiven their sins (human nature) and change them into a son of God. All it takes is to repent and believe in God. The rest comes as you begin to learn, by reading the Bible, what has happened to you by God’s forgiveness and love. The more you learn, the more you want to be the person in this life that he has changed you into. Yes, the “desire to do good” is in most people and living an honest, praiseworthy life is admirable. It, alone, will not get you into Heaven. This is why his statement, “to merit” is incorrect. You must repent and believe in God. God has already done what he requires for your entrance into Heaven. You just have to accept it.

  10. Amen Claudia, we are indeed in a spiritual war as well as a physical one now that all the minions from hell in the BLM, Antifa, the democrap party and RINO’s as well, the media, academia, hollyweird etc. have been unleashed. But God will prevail, he always does and is faithful to those who call on his name. Six months ago I would never have believed that this could happen in America but we will prevail and the enemy will be defeated but it will be an ugly and deadly fight. I don’t know what else to say anymore, I have no words left to describe how much I hate these people and their evil intentions to destroy America.

  11. Claudia,

Have you written a correction to Vigano’s letter based on Catholic Church doctrine or a Protestant interpretation or what?

Just curious why you would try and correct the Archbishop and (if you watched the video) correct Catholic scholar Dr Taylor .

  12. Zonga,

I do not presume to correct any Catholic Church doctrine because I don’t know enough about it. I just wanted to point out that there will be an end to evil as opposed to the word eternal.

Also, about who will merit Heaven; what I said is what the Bible teaches. I wanted to share what I believe.
