Trump names ex-congressman Lee Zeldin to run Environmental Protection Agency

WASHINGTON, Nov 11 (Reuters) – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said on Monday he will appoint former congressman Lee Zeldin to run the Environmental Protection Agency.

“He will ensure fair and swift deregulatory decisions that will be enacted in a way to unleash the power of American businesses, while at the same time maintaining the highest environmental standards, including the cleanest air and water on the planet,” Trump said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.

    Why does President Trump keep picking people to run unconstitutional agencies he should be closing?

    He doesnt need department heads.

    He needs wind-down experts…

  2. SNS I agree. If the government can force Costco to recall 80000 lbs of butter because the list of ingredients doesn’t say ‘contains milk’ why can’t 2 million bureaucrats be recalled because ‘contains idiot’ isn’t tattooed on their forehead?

    Unconstitutional or not they still exist and he not going to be able to cancel an entire agency with an E.O. Canceling these Government entities is going to be a fight that could take a couple years. Zeldin is a great choice.

  4. Wild Bill – Zeldin represented my Dear Departed Uncle’s district in Suffolk county. Zeldin had a hand with Donald Trump in his first term as President in removing a gang called MS-13 from Suffolk county. He had my vote for Governor.
