WASHINGTON–President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Friday addressing national security threats related to Chinese investments in the United States.
According to a fact sheet shared by a White House official, the memorandum aims to curb the exploitation of U.S. capital, technology, and know-how by China and other foreign adversaries.
The National Security Presidential Memorandum (NSPM) introduces several measures aimed at bolstering the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), an interagency committee that reviews the national security implications of foreign acquisitions. more
This is all good. Especially good is including farmland and agriculture resources.
Now a restriction on Bill Gates’ acquisition of farmland.
Trump’s team needs to look into Michigan’s Governor Whitmer. She has been in bed with China for years and now just declared the same intentions with Iran.
What’s next, Queen Gretch? North Korea?
There should be major restrictions/prohibitions on the sale of American farmland to any foreigners. And it should not be rezoned or permitted for solar/wind “farms” to anyone who is using American subsidies or tax breaks to develop it.
