HeatStreet:
Some Trump supporters engineered a brief takeover at New York Fashion Week this weekend.
The Hillary Clinton campaign funded an installation room at 29 Rooms, the interactive funhouse sponsored by fashion web company Refinery 29 in Bushwick, Brooklyn. 29Rooms featured immersive digital works of art that were designed to promote style and creativity to coincide with New York Fashion Week.
Hillary for America sponsored “Vote Your Values,” which invited millennials to write political messages on Post-It notes using sharpies and post them on its giant board.
Not surprisingly the board was full of liberal platitudes by environmentalists, Black Lives Matter activists and, of course, plenty of ‘I’m With Her’ supporters.
But Heat Street spotted what amounted to a Trump takeover of Hillary’s “Vote Your Values” wall. One section featured messages that read, “Trump’s Time Has Arrived,” “Hillary Should Be Indicted,” “Trump 2016,” “Free Huma,” “More Money for Hardworking Citizens” and “Trump is Love, Trump is Life.” The handwriting styles suggested three or four fans of The Donald had coordinated their own corner in which to express support for the Republican Presidential candidate.
It didn’t take long for the corner to be defaced.
“Can’t stop the message, Mel.”
I like how a Hillary campaign sponsored event got taken over by the opposition and that’s what is the news worthy part of the exercise.
My salute to those who dare go up against the herd.
