AT: President Trump loves to throw his opponents off balance, and he knows how to leverage circumstance to pressure people to make the decisions he wants from them. Last night, speaking to an overflow crowd in Rochester, Minnesota’s Mayo Civic Center (capacity: 7,200), with thousands in an overflow room and many thousands more gathered outside, he mocked former senator Al Franken for folding “like a wet rag” when accused of sexual impropriety. But there was an audience far away from the world-famous mecca for top-shelf medicine and dairy farm countryside that was one of his targets. It was a fascinating moment that the enthusiastic crowd ate up.
Two scoops of irony, please.
This is why I love Trump. He knows how to tell the opposition to go screw yourself nicely.
Proud to be Deplorable, Despicable, and the Dregs of Society. Stand proud my people!
President Trump dumped 2 scoops of melted spoiled ice cream all over Franken & boy did it stick to him.
That Minnesota rally was one of his best yet –President Trump was in his element ! It was a joy to see and hear, even from the TV.
You don’t fold that fast unless you’re holding a losing hand.
The true blue’s that always must have felt isolated and without hope must have loved the chance to roar for a change.
Trump has done the impossible and put the left on the ropes and is beating the piss out of them. It’s so good to see this country with happy people again.
So much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the left. Go Trump!
organgrinder, you are so right. Having lived there 30+ years, it was like walking on eggshells; at work and with friends. But we conservatives found each other and had our quiet network.
I would have gone if I was still living there. I’m so glad President Trump visits often!
